HDD 4GB with X2 Battery

Another cool PSP accessory! Datel, the maker of the X2 battery pack for the PSP, has produced a 4GB hard drive to work in conjunction with its X2 battery pack, making it an efficient external hard drive for the PSP.

The Datel MAX 4GB HDD connects to the the Memory Stick port via a small cable extended from the side of the HDD, and you don’t need to worry about more power consumption from the PSP’s battery as the Datel MAX 4GB HDD is bundled with the Datel X2 Battery.

As soft commented, it does look a little kludgy with cable that connects the Datel MAX 4GB HDD to the Memory Stick port.

Lik-Sang and Dark Planet are selling this unit for $199 and £149.95 ($263) respectively. The package includes one MAX 4GB HD, one Hi-Speed USB lead (MINI USB to USB), one Max Media Manager PC software disc, and one Datel X2 Battery 3600mh.

    1. I heard it will have a cable that runs from your memory stick slot to the battery on the back of the PSP… Kind of kludgy. It would be nice if the X2 fit in the PGP so you wouldnt have to worry about snagging it. Or if it was a wide pack that went flush against the back of it like the Power Express.

    1. Yeah you’re right, I didn’t notice that without reading the full description at Dark Planet. And also it was a mistake about it having an integrated battery. It was a seperated X2 battery that comes with the package.

      I’ve updated the article, thanks!
