The Panasonic VS7 incorporates a 2.5” crystal clear, QVGA LCD screen that has been enhanced to display approximately 16.7 million colors. The ‘one push auto open’ function opens the clam shell cover automatically and the 2 Megapixel digital camera comes with 5x digital zoom and capability to take 15-frame continuous shots. This is all housed in a 102×51 x 18.8 mm slim body, which weighs 113 g.
The Panasonic VS7 features 40 polyphonic and MP3 ringtone, 32MB built-in memory, JAVA MIDP, 3D games, Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) network mode, and a 830mAH Li-Ion rechargable battery. Its battery offers up to 6 hours talk time and 370 hours standby time. The VS7 also has a 65K colors STN LCD sub display (96×64 pixel) at the cover, which can be used as view finder while taking photo of yourself.
The big disappointment of the VS7 is that it doesn’t have a memory expansion slot, which greatly discourage users from enjoying for image and video capturing using the 2 Megapixel camera.
The retail prices of the VS7 range from US$300++ to US$500++. CellHut.com is currently accepting pre-order for $369.
