Finally, fuel cells for digital cameras are arriving. But this time, it isn’t DMFC, it’s indeed hydrogen fuel cells. Canon has showcased hydrogen fuel cell prototypes at the Canon EXPO 2005.
At the exhibition site, fuel cells were mounted on Canon’s digital cameras demonstrating actual operation. Although the exhibited fuel cell prototypes have about the same volume energy density as Li-Ion secondary batteries of the same size, the company aims to achieve three to five times larger densities.
