Kingston has released a series of more speedy CompactFlash, featuring a write speed of 100X *, which is equivalent to 15Mbps. The new CF cards are available in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB versions, with retail prices of $89, $159, and $289 respectively. They are also compatible with PC Card Type II adapters.
All cards come with a lifetime warranty and 24/7 support. Now, 15Mbps is not quite the speed of a hard disk drive, it’s like half or less than half or the speed of a hdd. But it’s still pretty cool, if ever, you would like to use it as your backup hdd.
*Note: Value of X = 150 KB/sec. 100X = 15,000 KB/sec = 15 MB/sec
