Last month in CeBIT, xcute mobile corp. introduced their up coming model, the xcute Wi5-80 triband GSM phone. Xcute is still working on this model and plan to release it to the market in August/September. There was no working prototype available, by the look at the picture provided the by xcute, this twistable candy bar is very stylish with the sleek, elegant piano black, and the cool buttons design. Here’s another cool feature: the Wi in its model name stands for wireless, as the Wi5-80 is not only a GSM phone, but also a VoIP phone. You can make VoIP calls or transfer data to another device or over the Internet when you are within a Wi-Fi service coverage area.

The xcute Wi5-80 measures 114×47 x 18 mm in dimensions and weighs 110 g. It features a 2-inch 640×240 pixels, 1.67M colors TFT display, a 6-megapixel camera with flash, 64 polyphonic ringtone, media player with supports for AVI / SF / MOV, supports for WAP 2.0 / Java 2.0 / Flash, Bluetooth, TV-out and a T-flash slot. Nice features, thumbs up for xcute!

The only visible downside is the lack of 3G support. Beautiful design, makes me think of Bang & Olufsen products.
