VK Mobile is releasing the new VK2020, an ultra light mobile phone which weighs just 48 g, with body thickness of 8.8 mm (full dimensions: 95×47 x 8.8 mm). The VK2020 uses a futuristic design with combination of metalic black and silver color in its chasis. Even though this kind of design isn’t really my type, I have to admit it’s pretty cool, and it looks much better than the short VK2000 (see picture below for comparison).
VK Mobile did only only redesign the VK2020, but has also made some obvious improvement of its function compared with the previous VK2000 model. It features a 1.5-inch 262K color OLED display, 128 MB built-in memory which is good enough to store 2-3 music albums, 64 polyphonic ringtone,
The VK2020 is a quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900) phone. The suggested retail price in Taiwan is NT$8400 (US$273). A great chance to grab the phone at cheap price for you: a Taiwanese online mobile device store, BBCity will hold an auction for the VK2020 at 10:00 tomorrow (GMT +8) on their website, with starting bid at NT$1.
