Qoolqee K7

Qoolqee K7 has been out there in the market for a while. This digital audio player is a product by Korean company Hantel Co. Ltd. The brand name Qoolqee came from “cool key” and the product name K7 came from “Lucky Key” as they hope K7 brings up fortune to the customers and Hantel. Does it really bring good luck to the customers? I don’t know. But I definitely like the design. According to Hantel’s Website, Qoolqee K7 comes in five colors, namely snow white, aqua blue, urban gray, mont blanc red, and pure black. However as found on a magazine, this image shows a green color version as well.

Qoolqee K7 features a 128×128 pixels high contrast 1.5” 65k colors TFT-LCD display, up to 1GB flash memory (options available are 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB), playback support for MP3, WMA and OGG, voice recording in WMA format, up to 20 hours of playback time with its built-in lithium polymer battery, FM tuner and direct recording, dual earphone by line-in jack for you to share musics with another person, Wolfson codec for 3D sounds, and upgradable firmware. song tempo adjustment, Outlook contact storage, automatic lyrics display and even a few games to keep you busy.

While a lot of manufacturers seem to forget about the sound quality aspect for their MP3 players. Hantel implemented high quality Wolfson 24bit DAC for optimal music decoding which is used in the the high-end Monolith II MP3 player.

Qoolqee K7 recieved a positive review from Anything But iPod:

The only disappointing aspects of the Qoolqee K7 were its plastic build and odd shape. But inside that plastic, the K7 employs one to the highest quality sound processors on the market, which provides the listener with crisp highs and robust bass. The sound will please even the discerning audiophiles. Qoolqee is customizable and is loaded with tones of features that are not usually found in many players. These features can be easily accessed through an intuitive all of which are wrapped up in a tight easy to use interface.
