Mobile Set-top Box DTI0601

In IFA 2005, Thomson unveiled the world’s first mobile set-top box with integrated antennas and crystal clear 11cm LCD screen, the DTI 0601. This mobile set-top box is designed to receive digital terrestrial broadcast channels in multiple environments. It measures only 17cm x 9cm and weighs 425g (including its rechargeable battery that provides up to 2.5 hours play time), which is good enough to fit in a coat pocket.

The DTI0601 employs a unique antennas system that consists of two specially designed mini antennas each connected to a separate tuner. Each antenna amplifies the other resulting in uninterrupted signals. The signals from both tuners are continuously combined by a special chipset, ensuring optimal reception even in busy metropolitan areas.

The mobile set-top box can be connected to a TV using composite video or SCART. USB2.0 connectivity to computer is also available for software downloads. The device also comes with a remote control, ambient noice cancelling headphone and a protective carrying pouch. A seperately sold 12-volt in-car adapter is also available.
