Olympus unveiled its latest compact digital cameras in end of August, the 8.0 Megapixels SP-350 and 7.1 Megapixels SP-310. The two cameras are nearly identical in their specifications, offering 3x optical zoom lenses, 6.4cm (2.5”) viewfinders and full manual control over aperture and shutter functions as well as 7 preset scene modes and 17 user customized scene modes.

The cameras store images in either JPEG or RAW formats while video recording with sound is also available in Motion JPEG format at 30FPS with a resolution of 640×480 pixels. The cameras come with 32 MB internal memory and xD-Picture Card slot.

The two cameras are expected to be available in October in Europe. The SP-350 and SP-310 are priced at around £310 (US$560/€450) and £270 (US$485/€400 EUR) respectively. Pricing in the U.S. is expected to be around $400 for SP-350 and $350 for SP-310.
