Samsung’s new 3G handset, the SGH-Z308 is the first Samsung 3G handset available in Hong Kong’s consumer market. This handset employs two cameras, internal antenna, 65K colors OLED display (86×64 pixels) on the cover, and a 2” 262K colors TFT main display (176×200 pixels).
The SGH-Z308 weighs 108g and measures 89×47 x 25.2 mm in dimensions. The main camera uses 1 Megapixel CMOS lens, supporting 3x digital zoom and maximum picture resolution of 1152×864 pixels; while the supplementary camera built for video conferencing is a 0.3 Megapixels camera. Users can also record video in MPEG-4 format for up to one hour.
The SGH-Z308 offers IrDA, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and also the rare 76 polyphonic ring tones. Its pricing in Hong Kong ranges from HK$2280 (US$294) to HK$3080 (US$397) for 3G service susbcribers.
