Finally ZyXEL Communications Corp. is releasing a Wi-Fi finder with more than just two LEDs as indicators. The AG-225H comes with an LCD display that provides information of the current environment for its Wi-Fi signal strength, security & encryption, operation channel, radio band and SSID. It runs on a built-in LiON battery and detects all 802.11a and 802.11b/g access points, including 802.11-compatible MIMO and Pre-N networks on both 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands.
The coolest part is, the AG-225H is probably the first gadget that combines a Wi-Fi hotspot finder and access point into one tiny stick. By plugging it into your computer’s USB port, it can turn your computer into a soft AP, allowing users to instantly share wireless access with others.
