Realm System, Inc. released the world’s smallest Linux server. The server itself is a USB mini drive with 1.1 and 1.2 USB interface, small enough to fit inside your palm with the dimensions of 0.50” x 1.75” x 3.5”. It runs on a 400Mhz PowerPC Processor, 64MB RAM and 256MB or 512MB flash memory, with a biometric scanner included for security purpose.

To access and use the server, you merely plug it in to your host computer’s USB port and BlackDog takes over! Your hardware devices will be taken over by Debian-based Linux operating system with 2.6.10 Kernel. When you are done with you session, simply remove BlackDog from the host computer. A complete Software Development Kit as well as sample applications are also included in the server.
