Toshiba displayed yesterday at CEDIA its line of Gigabeat digital audio players, which have been on market for few months. These units comes in 4 storage sizes, i.e. the 10GB MEG-F10, the 20GB MEG-F20, the 40GB MEG-F40 and the 60GB MEG-F60.
The Gigabeat series features 2.2” 240×240 pixels, 262K colors QVGA TFT-LCD display; 1.8” Tashiba Micro Hard Drive, CD RIPREC software for ripping the entire CD simply by pushing one button; playback support for MP3, WMA, and WAV audio files; photo viewer / digital image capablity, a unique Plus Touch Sensor Control allowing users to control the unit by pressing, tabbing or scrolling their fingers across the touch sensitive plus sign; built-in Li-Ion battery for up to 16 hours music playback, compatiblity with Windows Media PlayForSure and Napster To Go; a docking cradle, which is the key to some functions available on gigabeat; as well as an inline remote control.
