I was flipping through Business Week’s last issue in July (Asia Edition) at public library this afternoon when I saw the new black Motorola Q smartphone, with a highlight in the same page written “Blackberry killer?” (with or without question mark).
Phonescoop took some photos of the smartphone at MOTONOW 2005 held in Chicago. Motorola Q was previously known as RAZRberry, it’s expected to be available in the first quarter of 2006. It is so far the world’s thinnest (12mm) and lightest (115g) smartphone with QWERTY keyboard.
The Q is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel still/video camera, a navigation thumbwheel, dual stereo speakers with superior voice quality, speakerphone capability, as well as connectivities including bluetooth, IrDA, USB, WiFi, GPRS and EDGE.
