ScanDisk just announced their new 2-gigabyte Ultra II SD Plus memory card at the annual Photo Marketing Association Show. This foldable SD card is similar to the Japanese product YouSD II, which serves as a normal SD card, as well as a micro portable storage device as it comes with a high-speed USB2.0 connector. Indeed it comes with a design that’s more convenient for the users, comparing with the cap cover design of YouSD II.
The 2GB ScanDisk Ultra II SD Plus features up to 9 MB/s write speed and 10 MB/s. It will be available in June at around US$135.

Pretec today introduced the new Pretec 133X CompactFlash card, which is the world’s fastest CF card. The 133X CF card is capable of running at up to 20MB/s read speed and 14MB/s write speed. These new access speed greatly optimize the continous shooting function of digital cameras as it lowers the set-up time between pictures. Pretec 133X CF card will start volume shipping by March.
